They fit tight, compared to other altama boots.. remove the insole and they fit perfect..
Thank you for the feedback. The ALTAMA® Maritime is intentionally built with a snug, low-volume fit to provide a secure, locked-in feel for maritime, amphibious, and fin-compatible use. That closer fit helps improve stability, control, and performance in wet environments, which can feel tighter compared to some of our other boots.
The Maritime also includes a specialized impermeable insole designed to limit water absorption, improve drainage performance, and add a layer of underfoot protection. For overall support, comfort, and foot health, we recommend wearing the boot with an insole in place—either the original or a properly fitted aftermarket option. We appreciate you sharing your experience and helping others better understand the design and intended use of the Maritime.
AMAZING SHOES!
Built for amazing people
Love em
We love to hear it!
I’ve owned the same pair of Maritime Mids for about 3 1/2-4 years. Specifically a pair of Woodland Camo Maritime. These shoes have seen it all, range, gym, treks outdoors these shoes have proven to hold up. Not to mention, I’ve torn just about every pair of shoes I own and have always torn soles within a year of owning them. Maritime’s are built different and better, that’s a fact.
Thank you for the outstanding feedback and long-term support. We’re proud to hear your Maritime Mid boots have delivered reliable performance for over three years across range days, gym training, and outdoor treks. The Maritime is built for durability, traction, and all-terrain versatility, so it’s great to know they’ve held strong where other footwear hasn’t.
Your real-world experience speaks directly to what the Maritime Mid is designed for—mission-ready construction, dependable grip, and lasting comfort. We truly appreciate you trusting ALTAMA® and putting the gear to the test.
I think you should change the name to maritime -med because nothing about these boots is mid. These are the most comfortable boots I own
This compliment made Sarge laugh out loud, and he agrees. However, since the Mid refers to height and not quality, our CEO says we can't change the name... officially. ;)
