Great footbed with a wide toebox unlike Solomons. I wish the gray color was not on the mid black variant. Waterproof version would be nice.

I absolutely love my Legacy boots. They’re the perfect hybrid of a traditional boot and athletic shoe. I wear them all the time. I especially like the heel area. It’s more comfortable than a lot of other boots I own. Highly recommend!

I'm aware that I'm hard on shoes but I've liked Altamas right out of the box. These shoes came with the speed-lace/sinch lace system like some other brands have. I was excited for that aspect until one of them broke before wearing the shoes even a month. For me, breaking a regular lace is no big deal but these type of laces are so integrated it was a pain to swap it out with a regular lace, not to mention if you're meant to pull on them to tighten the shoe, why would it not be strong enough to last more than 30 days? I just can't really recommend these shoes if components are so weak as to break that quickly.

We heard the concerns regarding the original Legacy lacing system, and we've already implemented a rolling production change. New Legacy boots are now shipping with a stronger solid-core lace and an upgraded center connection designed to better withstand hard training and daily use.

Overall good shoe. Thin sole but good traction. One star off for narrow toe box even on a wide size.
