Rugged, well built w/good materials, good stitching, solid but not too rigid. Good true fit. Made for wear w/out socks but I have neuropathy and bad balance so I needed something with good grip. I just went 1/2 size up, put in a thin gel orthotics insert and wear with socks. It's my go to system. Very impressed.
When I bought my first pair they were for work. Over the years I got them for work and home
Great customer service and great shoes at a great price!
Honored to have hit the mark for you 🫡
Love these. For years I have struggled to find a shoe that actually is big enough to wear, and withstand the abuse of being on a river on a daily basis from April until October.
There's no better proving ground for the ALTAMA® Maritime Low than months of daily life on the river, and we're honored they've earned your trust.
We designed the Maritime to handle constant water exposure with rapid drainage, quick-drying performance, and the durability to keep going season after season. Hearing they've finally given you the fit and toughness you've been searching for is exactly why we build them.
We appreciate your support and wish you many more miles on the water. Stay after it. 🫡
Absolutely love these shoes. I’m part of a team to assist with swift water awareness and these grip the ground at the training site extremely well. They dry quickly, and feel amazing with no socks in the water. Would recommend if your Achilles/heel/toes aren’t calloused to go ahead and just wear mole skin or hydro colloidal bandages to prevent friction. I didn’t try them in the water with socks but I felt like that would defeat some of the purpose of them being able to eject the most water. Would definitely buy another pair. I also usually have slightly wide feet, but I ordered the regular width and again, they fit great. Just for the low tops the shoe strings are pretty long, so I had to wrap them into the lower crossed strings so they wouldn’t get caught on anything.
