Things I like are the uper part of the boot is great. Great ankle support and very comfortable. The eyelets are a good design and im sure u could never pull the eyelets out.
The things I dont like. Fit is a bit wide. There isn't really any arch support and that is uncomfortable. The 1st week in these boots was good the soft ruber sole felt good when walking but after that 1st week these boots have become very uncomfortable due to their being no real footbed support and the soft material.
So to some it up. Top half of the boot great. Bottom half not comfortable on my feet.
Thanks for the detailed and honest feedback on the ALTAMA® Stryke. We’re glad to hear the upper construction, ankle support, comfort, and reinforced eyelet system delivered the kind of durability and stability we designed the boot for.
We also understand that underfoot feel and arch support can vary a lot from person to person, especially during long hours on your feet. The Stryke series was engineered with a lightweight, high-flex outsole and softer cushioning system to maximize agility and reduce fatigue, but we know that some users prefer a more structured or aggressive arch-support setup.
The good news is that the removable footbed allows you to swap in a custom orthotic or support-focused insole to better match your foot shape and comfort preference. We appreciate the balanced review and the real-world feedback—it helps us continue refining mission-ready footwear for every type of operator.
Responsive footbed, can feel lots of the terrain. Bit stiff at first, had to break in for 2 days. Shape of footbed puts a bit of extra strain on balls of my feet by big toe.
Thank you for the detailed feedback. The STRYKE is built to provide responsive ground feel and stable support, and a short break-in period is normal as the materials begin to flex and conform to your stride. We appreciate you noting the feel under the forefoot—fit and comfort can vary by individual.
All ALTAMA® footbeds are fully removable, allowing you to swap in aftermarket or orthopedic insoles that better match your foot shape and pressure points if needed. We appreciate you sharing your experience and helping others make an informed choice.
I live in Wyoming it got colder in my home town last year then the Artic circle. Check it out if ya like Bill nie the science guy pointed it out over a 100° temperature swing in a week. I need good boots i work 10 hours a day outside these are good boots that do not cost three hundred dollars$ that is pretty good in my book, also I'm a vet and Altima is a name that is old and true to me.
Now that is a field test. Wyoming cold, long hours, and no room for failure — that’s exactly what the STRYKE was built for. We’re proud to earn your trust, especially knowing ALTAMA® has been solid in your book for years. Thanks for the service, thanks for the feedback, and stay warm out there. Sarge’s got your six.
