Absolutely love these shoes .I use them everywhere i go .hiking, tramping throughout river beds creeks climbing ..i work in security and need secure fitted footware while on the run. I have owned 4 pair in 7 years sofar .they take a true beating but still hold up to the hell they go threw

Only down side is how loose you need to get the shoe to put on your sock without your sock getting caught and bunched up. Other than that it’s a dream come true

The Maritime was originally engineered for amphibious and maritime use, meaning it was designed to be worn sockless for water operations and fast drainage. Because of that purpose-built fit, wearing socks can require loosening the laces more than expected.
If you plan to wear them primarily with socks, you may find going up a half size - or choosing a wider option - provides a more comfortable fit. Swapping to a lower-profile aftermarket insole can also help fine-tune space and comfort inside the boot.

Truly a great company, I've had multiple pairs of their shoes over the years. All of them lasting multiple years in various different uses and activity. Ups lost my last order with 0 response from them after contacting them, reached out to TOFC and within 48 hours a new pair has arrived. Truly impressed with customer service, and will continue to use these shoes.
Had my first pair of maritime mids for roughly 6 years. They were probably the most durable shoe I’ve ever owned. I wore them in all sorts of conditions, most notably my work as a wildlife biologist. They made it through all of my field work (rugged terrain, steep slopes, lots of slash/debris, down into the bogs/swamps). They also spent countless hours on the gun range and in the gym. They were treated horribly, yet they continued to perform day after day. They finally met their end when my wife caught a whiff of the stench coming out of them. Guess the swamps and gym sessions finally caught up to them. Ordering another pair as soon as I submit this 🤙🏼

For care and odor control, we recommend washing them in warm water with a small amount of Dawn® dish soap and a splash of white vinegar to help neutralize bacteria and reduce odor. Be sure to remove the impermeable rubber footbed each time you wash the boots and clean it separately as well. Allow everything to air dry fully before reassembling—no direct heat. You can also put them together and wear them immediately until they dry to spead up the drying process. Maritimes are built to dry quickly as you move.
